Job Summary


We are seeking a experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all safety regulations and protocols are adhered to within the workplace. This role is crucial in promoting a safe working environment, conducting safety audits, and implementing effective safety training programmes. The successful candidate will have their NEBOSH Certification and a minimum of 5 years experience.

Duties



Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in line with local legislation and best practices. Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Provide first aid support as needed and ensure that first aid kits are adequately stocked and maintained. Organise and deliver safety training sessions for employees to enhance awareness of workplace hazards and safe practices. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organisation. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a health and safety role or similar position is preferred. Strong skills in report writing, with the ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations. Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques to effectively address safety concerns. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage employees at all levels. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
