We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our organisation. Responsibilities
Conduct regular safety inspections across all operational areas to identify potential hazards.
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies in accordance with legal requirements.
Organise and deliver safety training sessions for staff members to promote best practices.
Investigate incidents and accidents thoroughly, preparing detailed reports outlining root causes and corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training activities.
Collaborate with management to develop emergency response procedures and ensure their effective implementation.
Perform risk assessments for new projects or processes, recommending mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and standards.
Skills
Proven experience in health and safety management or related roles.
First aid certification is highly desirable to provide immediate assistance in emergencies.
Strong report writing skills to document investigations, inspections, and compliance reports clearly and accurately.
Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues contributing to incidents or hazards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication skills to liaise confidently with staff at all levels and deliver training sessions effectively.
