Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our construction site team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees by implementing and maintaining safety protocols across the organisation. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.

Responsibilities



Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Develop, implement, and review safety policies and procedures to promote a safe working environment. Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures. Investigate accidents and incidents, conducting root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and recommendations for improvements. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that all necessary documentation is maintained accurately. Promote awareness of health and safety issues through workshops, seminars, and communications.

Requirements



Proven experience in a health and safety role or similar position. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices. Certification in First Aid is essential; additional qualifications in health and safety are advantageous. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation. Experience in conducting root cause analysis for incidents is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety within the workplace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-55,000.00 per year
