We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Officer to support our health and safety operations and help us maintain the highest standards across all divisions.
About the Role
Based primarily at our head office in Prudhoe, you'll spend around one third of your week visiting sites to carry out audits, risk assessments, and engage with stakeholders across the business. This is a hands-on role with real impact, offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen our safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date health and safety documentation
Prepare and distribute risk assessments, method statements, and compliance materials
Support the rollout and consistent application of Group-wide HSE procedures and systems
Liaise with internal teams to ensure documentation meets legal and industry standards
Provide health and safety guidance to employees at all levels
Contribute to the development of a strong safety culture, including safety observation cards, daily briefings, and workforce inductions
Conduct audits across the group and assist with incident investigations
Ensure compliance with risk controls and legal obligations
Liaise with clients and their representatives as required
What We're Looking For
Full UK Driving Licence
NEBOSH General Certificate, Construction Certificate or equivalent
Minimum 3 years' health and safety experience in demolition, construction or a similar industry
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Experience with HSE procedures, audits and documentation (including writing method statements and risk assessments)
Excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills
