Responsibilities of our Health and Social Care Apprentice team member:-
We place our residents at the heart of all that we do.
In partnership with Lakes College, our Health and Social Care Apprentice work alongside our experienced team, caring for the complex day to day needs of our much loved residents within our homes.
We create a safe, supportive and respectful environment.
Assisting our residents with their personal care whilst maintaining dignity and respect.
Encouraging and supporting food and drink intake.
Seeing each resident as an individual and adapting yourself to them.
Being a friend to the residents; being there to listen to them, support them and enable them to live the life they want to live.
Helping our residents to engage in activities.
Updating and maintaining our resident's records.
Communicating with family members as well as other health care professionals.
Taking pride in our work and are committed to high standards and innovation.

Requirements of a Health and Social Care Apprentice team member:-
To be kind and compassionate with a positive can do attitude. Assisting our vulnerable residents should be a natural instinct.
If GCSE English and math has not been achieved, attendance to Functional Skills classes with an end of term exam will be required.
To be honest, we believe in equality for all residents and staff.
To have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
Excellent communications skills.
The job involves working within one of our care homes in Barrow in Furness or at Aldingham, LA12 9RT.
All work placements will take place within one of our homes giving you the opportunity to gain different skills and putting them into practice .
Working 37.5 hours per week, starting at 7.45am till 4pm and when you are ready, our apprentice team will go on to work full shifts, 7.45am till 9pm over three days per week.
