About the Role
A fantastic full-time opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Teacher of Health and Social Care in the Wakefield area. This role is a vital part of a thriving academy's vocational and academic provision, beginning this January.This is an essential, full-time teaching position focused on delivering the Health and Social Care curriculum to students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The role holder will be instrumental in preparing students for further education, apprenticeships, and direct employment in the vital Health and Social Care sector.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

• Ability to build positive rapport with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging KS4 and KS5 lessons.
• Plan, prepare, and mark assignments and coursework.
• Monitor, track, and report on student progress and attainment.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
• Implement the academy's behaviour and pastoral policies.
• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to improvement plans.
• Participate in CPD to maintain and enhance professional practice.
• Assess, record, and report on student development and feedback.
• Undertake the role of a Form Tutor (if required).
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
