32.5 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-3:30pm)
Salary: 22,500 - 27,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Character Education & Life Skills (CELS) is an award winning, Anglesey-based organisation that champions resilience, confidence, and strong character as essential to education, wellbeing, and the future success of young people.
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working in education and keen to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people across North Wales.
As an instructor, you will deliver weekly sessions independently in schools across Anglesey, Gwynedd, and into Conwy. You will follow a researched, tried-and-tested programme developed by our team and run throughout the academic year. You will also be responsible for organising and delivering community-based sessions and developing links with local clubs, agencies, and organisations.
Delivery & Facilitation
Deliver character education sessions to classes of up to 30 pupils
Adapt sessions to suit the needs and interests of pupils
Break down tasks and demonstrate activities clearly
Encourage development of skills, knowledge, and confidence
Ensure high standards of health and safety
Pupil Development & Safeguarding
Provide relevant character-based feedback tied to real-life examples
Evaluate and monitor pupil performance and development
Inspire confidence, resilience, and self-belief
Follow legal and ethical standards, including child safeguarding
Reporting & Communication
Communicate clearly and effectively with pupils and staff
Maintain strong relationships with schools and stakeholders
Generate daily reports for headteachers
Promote our work in person and online
Manage data accurately, including surveys and reporting
Professional Standards
Work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality sessions
Use IT systems to monitor progress and engagement
Represent CELS professionally in all settings
Essential Skills & Attributes
Ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups
Confidence in leading full classes (primarily Years 3-6)
Flexibility to work with foundation phase and secondary pupils when needed
Passion to support the growth of others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong teamworking, time management, and organisational skills
Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable

Essential Requirements
Degree or equivalent
Fluent Welsh speaker - able to teach and write in Welsh
Proven experience in an educational setting
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
Confident using social media professionally
Enjoys working outdoors in all seasons
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
Able to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate
