Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for our clients. This position requires effective communication skills in English and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Drive to various locations as required to provide home care services. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients, promoting their dignity and independence.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow instructions accurately is desirable. A valid driving licence is preferred for those providing home care services. Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using healthcare software.
