Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Monitor and record patients' health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure high-quality care. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Skills

Proven experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficient IT skills for maintaining patient records and using healthcare software. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting patients when necessary. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.

Pay: 29,304.00-35,767.95 per year
