Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Help with the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised care plans. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring safe transportation of clients. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members. Strong IT skills to manage documentation and communicate effectively within the team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are vital for building rapport with clients and their families.
