Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a home care or care home environment, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will assist with daily living activities, implement care plans, and communicate effectively with both patients and healthcare professionals. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between care locations.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall well-being. Implement and follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals. Communicate effectively with patients to understand their needs and preferences. Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately. Drive to various locations as required to provide home care services. Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure a high standard of care is maintained. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between client homes. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Pay: 12.50-22.60 per hour
