We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
Implement and follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of care is provided.
Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required for home care services.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Qualifications
Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations.
