We are looking for caring, reliable and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our team. As a Health Care Assistant you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their day to day care, and ensuring this is done with compassion, kindness and respect. We are seeking individuals who have a can-do attitude and genuinely want to make a difference to other peoples lives.
Duties:
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support residents with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Liaise and communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on their needs, progress, health and wellbeing.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of individual care plans.
Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
Ensure that all equipment is used safely and maintained properly and effectively
Accompany and assist residents to appointments out in the community.
To demonstrate person centred care and promote independence
Carry out light domestic duties, including laundry and clearing up after mealtimes
To report any concerns or issues to senior staff
To help serve food and assist residents with eating and drinking.
Follow risk assessments and care plans at all times.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment at all times by following regulations, policies and procedures.
To ensure that records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
Assist with end of life care for residents when required
Organise and encourage residents to participate in activities inside and outside of the home
Experience:
Knowledge of using Nourish would be great, but not essential as full training will be provided
Basic IT skills are required to maintain records and using healthcare systems
A background in a previous care setting is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
Excellent communication skills in English, ensuring effective interactions with residents, staff and professionals.
