We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
Support the implementation and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and their families to ensure clear understanding of care needs
Support with light domestic tasks to promote a safe and clean environment
Drive or accompany clients as required for appointments or outings (where applicable)
Requirements
Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home visits or transportation of clients
Experience working within a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory
Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and team members
Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing person-centred care
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
