We have well qualified staff and a Registered Nurse on duty twenty-four hours a day to provide full nursing care. Bymead House is a mainly purpose-built Nursing Home in the village of Charmouth in Dorset..

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our team and support us with

Assist in the daily care of the residents, helping with dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and personal hygiene where necessary. To help residents with problems of mobility and other physical disabilities (e.g. incontinence), helping with the use of disability aids and caring for the same, where appropriate.

To help with the organisation of social activities, and to participate in them to help promote residents esteem and physical and mental well-being. To accompany residents on community visits where required and as duty rotas permit. Assisting residents with eating and drinking as required. To monitor resident's conditions and report any changes to the Senior Care Assistant/Person-in-Charge as necessary.

To help maintain a safe and healthy environment in the Home with due regard to appropriate Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Regulations. To report all accidents to the Senior Care Assistant/ Person-in-Charge. To read and write reports, and to participate in staff and residents meeting as appropriate. To participate in training activities/course, as directed by senior staff. To assist with End-of-Life Care for residents who are terminally ill. Weekend working required on a rota basis. To undertake other duties, as necessary. The right candidate will be dedicated and hardworking, capable of working as a team member and independently. Shifts available are 8am -8pm one post 36 hours per week, second post 42 hours per week..

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.25 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 42 per week
