Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a nursing home setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering high-quality care. We are looking to employ someone who can work for 36 hours per week to include every weekend.

Duties

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed. Help in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met. Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of patient progress. Monitor patients' health and report any changes to the nursing staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents. Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care as required. Drive patients to appointments or outings when necessary.

Skills

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication with patients and colleagues. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and their families. Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with creating and following care plans to meet individual patient needs.

Pay: 21,978.00-27,896.02 per year
