We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively, while also being able to drive to various locations as required.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity by encouraging participation in daily routines.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Follow individual care plans meticulously, adapting to the needs of each client as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge within the healthcare field.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home environment is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is advantageous.
A good command of English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
A willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic healthcare setting is essential for success in this position.
