We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in providing high-quality care to our residents in a care home environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A driving licence is preferred as the role may involve travel for home care visits.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to senior staff.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care home, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with mobility and transportation of residents, including driving when necessary for home care visits.
Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
A valid driving licence is an advantage for roles involving travel between locations.
A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
