We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home , ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and maintaining effective communication with colleagues and patients alike.
Duties
Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a caring environment
Support patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times
Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and their families to ensure high standards of care are maintained
Drive or accompany patients to appointments or outings as required
Skills
Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Experience working in a care home.
Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately.
Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards patient welfare.
