We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with both patients and healthcare professionals while adhering to care plans and maintaining a supportive environment.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to the nursing team.
Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home or home care setting.
Support residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life.
Document care provided accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Drive to various locations as required for home care assignments.
Skills
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Experience or understanding of care plans is highly desirable.
Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous.
A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for success in this role.
