Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients in maintaining their daily routines and adhering to care plans. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients. Maintain accurate records of residents care and progress in accordance with organisational policies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Uphold hygiene standards and ensure a clean environment for patients.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans accurately and adapt to changing patient needs. Proficient IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
