We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team on our Community Runs. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and activities as outlined in their care plans.
Monitor and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents to the healthcare team.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts.
Ensure that all areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Experience
At least 6 months previous care experience in the UK
Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and their families.
A valid driving licence is desirable but not essential.
