Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities and implementing care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities, including meal preparation and feeding. Help implement care plans by monitoring and documenting changes in the residents' conditions. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care home or home environment. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff members regarding resident needs and progress. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.

Skills

Proficient in English with excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members. Experience or knowledge of care homes and home care practices is advantageous. Familiarity with creating and following care plans to ensure personalised support for residents. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles that require travel between locations. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families while providing compassionate care.
