Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home environment or within home care settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those we serve.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Follow individual care plans to ensure personalised support for each resident. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Support residents in participating in social activities and encourage engagement within the community. Document care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff members.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. Familiarity with IT systems for documenting care activities is beneficial. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with residents and team members. A caring attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are crucial for success in this role.
