We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Duties
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Monitor and record vital signs as required, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care setting.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and staff.
Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping are required.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
