We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care while adhering to care plans and fostering a positive environment for our clients.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each client's individual needs are met.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their mental well-being.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
Perform basic IT tasks related to documentation and communication within the care setting.
Escort clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
