Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position involves supporting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and maintaining a safe environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to delivering personalised care.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Engage with residents in meaningful activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive atmosphere. Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of individualised care approaches is beneficial. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
