Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home or home care setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively with both residents and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role, as it may involve travelling to clients' homes.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the care environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of individualised patient care is an advantage. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Strong IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using relevant software applications. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with residents, families, and team members.
