We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring that each client receives the highest standard of care. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to following care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to senior staff.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care environment.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
