Young lady who lives in her family home requiring 2:1 support during the day. She has autism, epilepsy, stage 1 respiratory failure and thyroid problems. She presents with some challenging behaviour and requires 2:1 support to maintain her safety, she requires assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily activities and medication. She experiences high seizure activity, having several drop seizures a day which are managed using a VNS device. In addition to the VNS she has buccal midazolam. Full training is provided but previous knowledge around Epilepsy and/or VNS would be desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
Support with mobility, repositioning and safe transfers.
Help with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping, and light housekeeping.
Build positive relationships with service users, encouraging their independence and dignity. Also providing emotional support and companionship.
Monitor and report on changes in health and well-being to senior staff.
What We're Looking For:
A compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others.
A minimum of 6 months care experience is essential. Previous knowledge/experience with Epilepsy and Challenging behaviour is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
A full Enhanced DBS check will be required for all successful candidates.
