We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in both home care and care home settings. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, while also maintaining effective communication with healthcare professionals and family members.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as required.
Help in the preparation of nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of patient progress.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
Drive patients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems relevant to patient care management.
Uphold hygiene standards and maintain a clean environment for patients.
Skills
Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to facilitate effective communication.
Experience in home care or care home settings is highly desirable.
Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting patients when required.
Strong IT skills for maintaining electronic health records and care plans.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
