As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across various medical settings. Your responsibilities will span from assisting with daily activities to providing essential support in both inpatient and outpatient environments. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of care while fostering a compassionate and supportive atmosphere.
What you'll do
Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature Support medical staff during procedures and examinations, contributing to a seamless workflow Administer medications as prescribed and assist with intake processes for new patients Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient information Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in urgent care, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine settings Provide administrative support by managing appointments, medical terminology documentation, and ICD coding tasks Engage with patients and their families to provide education on health management and wellness
