We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to residents in care homes and those receiving home care services. This role involves assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and ensuring the well-being of individuals in a professional and respectful manner. Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support Support the implementation of individualised care plans in accordance with healthcare standards Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and service users Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure high-quality care Support with household tasks in care homes or home environments, including light cleaning and organising Drive to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation for residents or clients

Requirements

Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely when required Experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
