Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the highest level of care. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, and you will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help in the preparation and serving of meals, adhering to dietary requirements as outlined in care plans. Monitor and record vital signs and changes in clients' conditions, reporting any concerns to the healthcare team. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following hygiene protocols. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their comfort during transport.

Skills

Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families, as well as teamwork within the healthcare setting. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to client care. Experience or familiarity with care home environments is advantageous. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential. Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 33 - 44 per week
