Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional health. Maintain accurate documentation to track patient progress and needs. Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure continuity of care. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting any changes in patient conditions promptly. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with patients and team members. Previous experience in home care or care home settings is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety regulations.
