Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in care home settings, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans meticulously while maintaining a high standard of care.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Support patients in maintaining their independence while providing the necessary assistance. Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately in IT systems as required. Drive to various locations as needed for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival at appointments. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to communicate effectively in English is crucial. A valid driving licence is advantageous for those involved in home care duties. Proficiency in IT systems will be beneficial for documenting patient information and progress.
