AGENCY HCA FOR EITHER LONG TERM OR EXTRA HOURS.

Responsibilities:

Personal Care:

Assisting patients with activities like bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating.

Observation and Monitoring:

Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, etc.), observing patients' physical and emotional state, and reporting any changes to nurses or doctors.

Patient Support:

Helping patients with mobility, using assistive devices, and providing emotional support and comfort.

Communication:

Communicating with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of patient care and progress.

Environment:

Maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
Working Environment:

Healthcare assistants can work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, care homes, hospices, and clients' homes. They may work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and nights. They may need to wear a uniform.
Career Progression:

Healthcare assistant roles can be a stepping stone to other health careers, such as nursing, radiography, or physiotherapy. With experience, they can train new healthcare assistants or take on leadership roles.
