Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our clients, in home care services. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to senior staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a healthcare setting, such as a care home or home care environment, is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication. A valid driving licence is essential for community work. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
