Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, maintaining care plans, and fostering effective communication with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Duties

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients in daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding. Help maintain accurate care plans and document patient progress. Communicate effectively with patients to understand their needs and preferences. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Drive to patients' homes if required for home care services. Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all patients.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with patients and staff. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
