Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in both home care and care home settings. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in following their individual care plans to ensure their specific needs are met. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status and any concerns. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is beneficial. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Experience working within care plans or home care environments is desirable but not mandatory.
