Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and promoting a positive environment for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Implement and follow individualised care plans to meet the specific needs of each client. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Foster effective communication with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure a holistic approach to care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members. A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of clients is crucial. Driving experience is beneficial for transporting clients as needed. Familiarity with creating or implementing care plans is an advantage.
