Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented. This position requires strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance. Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the nursing staff. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any relevant observations. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care environment. Drive to various locations if required for home care visits or other duties.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to converse effectively in English. Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
