Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in home care or care home settings, assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively while demonstrating a commitment to high-quality care.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or within a care home environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is an advantage. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between client locations.
