We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes or through home care services. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position, as it may involve travelling to various locations.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition.
Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to patient care.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using healthcare software.
A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of patients is crucial for success in this role.
