Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Healthcare Assistant to join our team due to staff ratios. In this role. You will provide essential support to residents in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively, contributing to the overall quality of care provided to our residents.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of resident progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with patients and colleagues. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not mandatory. Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when necessary. A caring attitude with a genuine interest in improving the lives of others.
