Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.

Responsibilities

Assist service users with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation and medication management. Maintain accurate records of service users care and communicate any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Help implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Foster a positive and supportive environment by engaging with service users in meaningful conversations. Uphold hygiene standards and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining service users records is advantageous. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is crucial for success in this role.
