We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and activities as outlined in their care plans.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Document and report any changes in clients' conditions or needs to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safe transportation.
Skills
Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is beneficial.
IT skills to manage documentation and communicate effectively within the healthcare system.
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect for client dignity.
