Job Description
Main Duties New Patient registration checks Chronic disease management checks Venepuncture taking and preparing of pathology samples Urinalysis testing and recording of specimens Blood pressure monitoring, pulse rate and rhythm 24 hr blood pressure monitoring Measurement of height and weight Provision of diet and lifestyle advice Pill checks Foot care assessments Undertake Flu Immunisations Provide Smoking Cessation advice and monitoring Assist with the provision of health checks for both newly registered patients and cardio vascular health checks (NHS Health checks Clinical Care Work alongside the Clinicians in the provision of patient care Assist Clinicians in emergency management of patients Act as a chaperone Provide relevant health promotion literature for patients Care and Management Programme Ensure stock are provided in GP and treatment rooms Comply with sterilisation procedures Follow infection control standards Contribute new ideas to improve patient care Instruct patients in appropriate techniques or tasks Recording patient information
