Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each individual's needs are met. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or training sessions. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring travel between locations. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a good command of English. Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
