We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for individuals in need of care.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Monitor and report any changes in patients' health or behaviour to the healthcare team.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
Document patient progress and activities accurately in accordance with organisational policies.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Skills
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
Ability to drive is an advantage for providing transport to patients as required.
Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
